Huge hospitality jobs have been lost during Covid-19 pandemic

The hospitality sector is in a crisis as the sector faced the worst hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, with almost 300,000 hospitality workers in the UK losing their job.

Despite the furlough scheme, VAR cuts, and business loans, 297,000 jobs were lost between February and November according to the BBC.

In an interview, the CEO of UK Hospital said the required closure of the hospitality industry was an illogical move. She also said that the closing of this industry is also responsible for increasing the infection rates in the UK.
